You Poor Unfortunate Souls - VOCALS
POOR UNFORTUNATE SOULS
Ursula:
I admit that in the past we were quite nasty.
Evil Queen:
They weren’t kidding when they called us each a witch.
Ursula:
And I found that nowadays
I miss my wicked ways, and I’m wishing that my ending could be switched.
But unfortunately, we have no more magic.
It’s a tragedy that we cannot forget.
So, we sit here every day, shunned to our dismay
While the silly royals dance the nights away,
Villain Solo:
Pathetic.
Villains:
Poor unfortunate souls, in pain, in need.
Ursula:
(Points to Evil Queen.)
This one longing to be pretty, making spells to help her be.
Evil queen:
Is it helping?
Villain Solo:
No, siree.
(Evil Queen gets huffy.)
Villains:
We’re poor unfortunate souls! We’re quite unfit.
Ursula:
We come flocking to my cauldron crying spells to help us, PLEASE!
Villain Solo:
Are they working?
Villain Solo:
Not a bit.
Villains:
Now it’s happened once or twice,
When we’ve had to pay the price
In our wicked rotten evil villain roles.
Villain Solo:
Yes, we may seem rather bad,
Villain Solo:
But our situation’s sad!
Villains:
We’re poor unfortunate souls!
(Music fades out.)
